Experience Swimming & Nature at Krause Springs

Came across this place while searching for a pool when staying in Marble Falls. Location was pretty easy to find, a nice little drive thru hill country. There were plenty of parking so you don’t have to worry about that. The place itself is amazing, the little garden is a nice getaway to explore. The upper pool area was cleaned and well maintained, it was cold ( what you expect, it’s spring water ) but once you’re in it you’ll be fine. After the upper pool area there’s another pool at the bottom level which was really nice to check out and lounge, also around the area are some hidden water falls that’s a cool hike away. Overall I enjoyed it and so did my wife and son. Would definitely recommend it

What a delightful surprise this was! We had reservations for Hamilton Pool but it was closed for bacteria; fortunately one of the rangers there made the fantastic recommendation of Krause Springs about 35 minutes north. The drive through hill country was gorgeous, and we were completely delighted when we arrived at the property. The garden (and the giant wind chimes!) are incredible, worth the (very reasonable) $10 admission alone. We spent some time wandering around the amazing plant specimens and fountains before making our way down to the pools. The grounds are lovingly maintained and in immaculate condition. We took a quick dip in the upper pool to cool off before trekking down to the natural pool - just wow! It feels like something from the Jurassic era with all the interconnected vines along the water’s edge and waterfalls trickling through the ferns. We just stayed for an afternoon swim but the camping spaces look fun and great for lots of exploring. Definitely worth the trip if you’re in the greater Austin area or looking for a unique spot off the beaten path!

Krause Springs is simply a hidden gem! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene beauty of the surroundings. The lush greenery, along with the tranquil atmosphere, makes it an ideal getaway. The centerpiece, a stunning waterfall, is a must-see. Its cascading waters create a soothing sound that adds to the peaceful ambiance. Swimming in the cool waters beneath the falls was the highlight of my visit! Overall, Krause Springs offers a little piece of paradise for nature lovers and anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend!

This was my first time here. I was not let down. There were plenty of picnic areas to relax and have a bite. The views were great too. The upper area has water that was crystal clear and cold. Which was refreshing given the heat. But the adventure starts when you either venture down the narrow stairs or down the rocks to the watering hole. There is a rope swing and a small place to cliff jump, and a little cave to explore. But please be mindful, the ground is uneven and certain locations are jagged. When we went, the water was pretty murky. But I imagine that is pretty standard given the volume of visitors. When I'm back in the area, I'm likely to visit again

Great natural spring and campground. Nice friendly relaxed hosts. Please remember to not play loud music or get too drunk this is a relaxed family atmosphere. It's very clean as most people clean up after themselves. The botanical garden is a must vist as well.
