Murray Canyon Horseback Riding Tour

I had an amazing experience with the folks at Smoke Tree Stables!! Every time I called prior to booking with questions, I was met with patience. The online booking was easy breezy. I loved that the helmet was also a cowboy hat. The horses were so sweet and beautiful. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and I appreciated the variety of the trail ride (through water, up the slope, etc.) The stable hands that rode with us were very informative about the land, the horticulture, the traditional uses of the plants by Native Americans, and tips for safe/secure riding + they were fun. I HIGHLY recommend them!!

We went for a trail ride on 3/23/24 through Indian Canyon. To say the least, it was amazing and the most fun we have had since moving full-time to Palm Springs back in 2022. The horses are beautiful and so well trained and trustworthy. The wranglers are wonderful and take good care of you as you enjoy this beautiful and scenic ride through the gorgeous Indian Canyon trails. It was such a relaxing and serene experience. You don't need to be an experienced horseman to enjoy - they'll match to with a horse that meets your skill level. Just trust the horses - they know what they're doing. A must experience for everyone who visits Palm Springs!!

We have been customers 3-4 times now. We love Smoke Tree Stables! The horses are incredibly loved and well-cared for, which is tragically not always the case at many other stables. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and fun to ride with. The trails are absolutely gorgeous and unique. The staff are highly effective at accommodating all rider skill levels. A must-do while in Palm Springs!

This was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Palm Springs! I came for my partners birthday and wanted to do something different. The family and staff that operate this stable are Fantastic!! The ride was great and you definitely get your moneys worth. I appreciate the kindness and professionalism everyone showed and the horses are all beautiful and are clearly well taken care of. One of the best things I have ever done! I have always loved horses and we decided on a whim to go horseback riding on a recent trip to Palm Springs. We have zero regrets and it was worth every penny. The views were incredible and so much more than we could have ever imagined. We thought this would be a simple ride through the desert, we weren’t expecting the terrain we experienced. We were extra fortunate that we got a ride to and from the site from the owners. We learned so much about the company, the family, the horses and the history of Smoke Tree Stables. Most importantly, we had the privilege of meeting some of the most genuine people. The horses were nothing short of amazing. They are so well taken care of and their temperament is unreal. I really miss Shorty! We will absolutely return and I can’t wait! Thank you so much to Smoke Tree Stables for a life changing experience. Maybe we will get a chance to reconnect over the Calgary Stampede one day (minus the chuckwagons, of course)
