Join the San Marcos Nighttime Glow Kayak and Paddle Board Tour

Celebrated my birthday/Mother’s Day with my family. My nephew is 13 and my dad is 74 and all ages in between. We filled all 6 kayaks (12 spots) on Shawn’s tour. He let us take our time. He pointed out bat’s living in the bridge cracks, turtles, birds, raccoons, snakes. The kayaks are clear so you can see the fish underneath. I’ve kayak before but never at night. Great experience! Birthday to remember.

Such a beautiful and cool experience! The water is clear and looks so pretty with the kayak lights. Martin was awesome, very knowledgeable, and very passionate about this river. I would definitely do it again.

Five stars isn’t enough! My husband and our two kids (9&10) loved our first ride. We will definitely be doing it again. Our guide BEN was amazing, sweet, patient and had so much knowledge about the area and the plant and wildlife. Shoutout to him because none of us had been kayaking ever. Highly recommend squeezing this into one of your nights if you’re in the area. You will not regret it. Saw the cutest otter as well, that made our kids evening! Citlali gave us an authentic evening tour that was so romantic and relaxing. We would love to enjoy the river at night more often however this was the first time we've ever kayaked at night! So fun to see faint lights amongst the trees as you are floating above a clear spring river!

After having to cancel twice, we finally got to do this. The customer service was amazing rescheduling our trips. We parked, got in a circle to hear some instructions, put our gear on and walked down to the boats. Our guide was on a paddle board with a flashlight pointing out critters and fish, while leading the way. It was a pretty mellow experience. The most challenging part was not bumping into our neighboring boats. The trip back is a bit more difficult (not much) as you row against the current. It was peaceful and fun to be out in the dark with the lights on in each boat. Go up front for a dark adventure or stay near the back of the group to see all the cool lights all along the way. I did both and preferred the back to the front. 👍🏼 Our teenagers enjoyed the experience, but thought it would be more “thrilling”. White water kayaking it is not. 🤣 A fun experience to do as beginners and with your family/friends.
