Fun! At first. Then…not so much. Pros: Easy location to downtown and all the shops and restaurants. The idea of staying in an Airstream is a novel idea that wears off quickly. I knew what I was getting into and that was fine. I don’t mind small spaces or RV’s. But what I didn’t like was to read about amenities offered but upon arrival, we’re not there. Walking into the Outpost is super cute and I love the layout and outside areas.
Getting into the airstream was easy but then things kinda went downhill after that.
Cons: Sitting at the airstream kitchen table there is a record player and some records. Cool! Ah…but the needle is damaged and the records skip…not cool.
Oh!! A TV in the perfect place and a cute little sign saying, “TV is not operational”. Not cool.
Neat! A third bed in the front for my teenager. But no bedding even though the Airstream says it sleeps 3. Not cool!
Let’s get some fresh air in here. Can we open a window? Make sure to read the cute little sign saying, “Please do not open window (window damage fee is $300)”. Um, yeah…you guessed it-not cool!
It’s the little things that make a stay at any hotel more special and although the thought is there at the Caravan Outpost, the follow through is not. The devil is in the details. Unfortunately, I won’t be staying here again.
